Ipswich Illuminations

The Town and people of Ipswich, Massachusetts are proud to present Ipswich Illumination 2024, a celebration of beauty & community. Now in its 15th year, Ipswich Illumination features a collection of interactive art installations, live music, poetry, projection, bonfires, and more along the Ipswich River.

Each evening, Bonfires will blaze on the Ipswich River, which runs through the heart of our downtown & community.

Friday Night Schedule - October 11, 2024 at the EBSCO Riverwalk Extension:

• 5:00 pm: Family-friendly Folk Dance, Circles Lines & Squares, Egrets Only

• 6:00 -6:10 pm Brad Chase, Diadromous Fish Biologist & Poet will read from his poems in Codbones, published by Wrinkled Sea Press last year, and more recent poems.

• 6:10 – 7:20 pm: Music by Bottles & Cans

• 7:30 pm: Chris Blagg solo performance

• 7:35 pm Lighting of the bonfires by archer Carlos Segura & Co.

• 7:40 – 9:00 pm: The Clements Brothers Duet, with roots, rock, bluegrass, jazz, and classical influences

• Ipswich Now & Then and 3D Ipswich at the Hall-Haskell House Visitor Center

• Ipswich Cultural Council Annual Art Show & Sale, Town Hall Gym & Stage

• Installations: Paper Moon, Lynn’s fiber optic jellyfish, & Ipswich the dragon in the water
